18 Nov Verb Patterns: verb + to + infinitive
En nuestro post anterior aprendimos que hay algunos verbos que son utilizados con el sufijo -ing. Hoy aprenderemos que hay otros que normalmente son seguidos por el infinitivo con to. A pesar de que son muchos los verbos que siguen esta estructura, hoy sólo estudiaremos los principales, que hacen referencia con una necesidad, expectativa o esperanza, tal como lo estudiaremos a continuación:
Una decisión

| Decide to | She decided to quit her job |
| Arrange to | Lena and her boss arranged to have the meeting next Monday morning |
| Manage to | Mark managed to invest on the highest technology devices even if they were expensive |
Una necesidad
| Want to | My parents didn’t want me to go to the party last night |
| Need to | I was sneezing so I needed to buy some tissues |
Una esperanza
| Expect to | Lisa expected her boyfriend to propose to her. |
| Hope to | I hope to find a new job soon |
